Heavy Traffic Increases the Risk of Aggressive Driving Accidents in Indiana

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) defines aggressive driving as "the operation of a motor vehicle in a manner that endangers or is likely to endanger persons or property." In a NHTSA study, 60% of all drivers feel aggressive driving is a major threat to them and their families. This perceived threat is a reality. A substantial number of all fatal auto accidents were caused by an aggressive driver.
Aggressive driving behavior includes:
- Speeding or driving too fast for conditions
- Improper or unsafe lane changing

- Disregarding traffic signals
