Heavy Traffic Increases the Risk of Aggressive Driving Accidents

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) defines aggressive driving as "the operation of a motor vehicle in a manner that endangers or is likely to endanger persons or property." In a NHTSA study, 60% of all drivers feel aggressive driving is a major threat to them and their families. This perceived threat is a reality. Aggressive driving behavior includes:
• Speeding or driving too fast for conditions
• Improper or unsafe lane changing
• Tailgating

• Disregarding traffic signals
