18 Wheeler Crash
Posted on August 24, 2011 by Ronald Todd
Multiple accidents were reported throughout the day as snow and icy conditions created dangerous conditions on Indiana highways.
Indiana State Police have reported several crashes throughout the state over the last 24 hours. Property damage, multiple injuries and even one death have been reported. One accident involving a semi-trailer caused major delays on the Northwest side of Indianapolis.
In a study by Indiana Law enforcement in 2009, it was reported that there were 189,676 traffic collisions and of those, 10,542 involved a large truck. An 18 wheeler crash involving a smaller vehicle can cause serious injuries such as a paralysis injury, traumatic brain injury or even death. An 18 wheeler crash is often more serious due to the higher rates of speed, larger blind spots and the difficulty it takes to control them in bad weather.
If you or a loved one have been involved in an 18 wheeler crash you know the painful and expensive amount of treatment involved in the recovery from a traumatic brain injury or paralysis injury. It is imperative that you contact a 18 wheeler lawyer who has extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations of such traffic cases.
